This is Fiona! When Fiona needed a quality mitre saw to cut her parquet flooring parts, she came to her local Makerspace. We showed her how to make the cuts safely and effectively and provided the PPE she needed. Two hours later she went away happy with all her parts, and all her fingers. Be like Fiona, use your local Makerspace! 🙂

One of our carbon busters has been busy utilising the Horsham Makerspace! Horsham Makerspace is a ‘community workshop and studio,’ open to everyone – you may have seen them at the Kinder Living Home Show! They also host the Horsham Tool Library, which is a brilliant way to access quality, well-maintained tools, without wasting money on something you’ll rarely use, and will end up in landfill. You can also donate quality tools that you are no longer using to the Tool Library, and receive credit to borrow other items from the Tool Library. Check out their website here or check our stories: https://horshammakerspace.org/

- Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. They say ‘one person’s junk is another person’s treasure’ – and this group proves it! There is a local Facebook group for the parish, where you can advertise your ‘unwanted items’ that someone else may treasure or upcycle! Check it out here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/786063531951828/
