Parish Community Group (PCG )

The Parish Community Group was set-up to look at initiatives that could contribute to the well-being of the parish. It was successfully launched in July 2016 at St. Andrews School a Panel was set up at that same evening.

Its first challenge came soon after the PCG was formed, they were approached by the local church to take over their magazine – LINK. Funding was sought from HDC through a Community Support Fund which allowed us to plan the continuation of the magazine in a brand new format, as a lifestyle publication.

In 2020 we were hit with the pandemic, which set us some serious financial challenges to keep the magazine going. Fortunately, our advertisers came to the rescue by continuing their support in the months we went ‘online.’  That revenue enabled us to print Link when safe to do so and also gave us additional funds to use in the community.  The beneficiaries were St. Andrews School library,  the Nuthurst Community Allotment and  picnic benches for Copsale Hall and Nuthurst Cricket Club.

LINK is a well established magazine in our local area and we have decided to restructure the Parish Community Group using the LINK brand name, these are listed under ‘Projects’.  The PCG will retain the management and finance control of all projects. We are always ready to consider any suggestions for an initiative which would benefit our community, so please contact us at content with a brief explanation. CONTACT
